Blahsports is a social content website. As a user, you participate in determining all site's content by providing, selecting, sharing, and discussing articles, pictures and videos that you like and feel that would be interesting to other people.
1. GET NOTICED
Submit your favorites. Find an article, picture or video online and submit it to Blahsports.com. Your submission will immediately appear in the "Up and Coming" section, where other members can find it and, if they like it, vote it up.
Become popular. Once a submission has earned a critical mass of favorable votes, it becomes "popular" and rises up to the homepage in its category. If it becomes one of the most popular, it qualifies as a "Top 10". If a submission doesn't receive enough positive votes within a certain time frame, it eventually falls out of the "Up and Coming" section.
Discover media on Blahsports. Visit the "Up and Coming" section to discover recently added articles, pictures or videos. Track submissions as they come in by visiting the topic's homepage and seeing what is newly popular.
2. SELECT
Participate in the collaborative editorial process by voting the stuff that you like best. As you vote, you contribute to the popularity of any given item. You also build a history of votes that you or your friends can view.
Report it. If you find stories with bad links, off-topic content, or duplicate entries, click "Report it" That's how we filter the system so as not to get clogged with spam and let the good stuff rise to the top.
The system works better when users actively participate on a large scale, so make sure to do your part by voting and booing relevant articles, pictures and videos!
3. SHARE
Build a network. Invite your friends or find them on Blahsports and add them to your friends list. Then your friends can track what you're voting and submitting and you can see what they do at Blahsports as well.
Email. Send your friends (Blahsportsers or non-Blahsportsers) the stories that you like or submit to Blahsports.com.
4. DISCUSS
Comment. Share your opinions by commenting articles, pictures and videos, as well as voting comments by other users.
